Long Point Camping Extravaganza
Long Point is a unique and beautiful place located on the north shore of Lake Erie in Ontario and the destination of our camping trip. A group of 18 happy campers made their way sounth to the beaches to spend a relaxing weekend.

The provincial park is part of a 40-kilometre-long sandspit (yes, fellow Europeans, don't be grossed out by the lingu... translates into "landzunge"...) in Lake Erie which is recognized as a biosphere reserve by the United Nations.

The lake side of Long point is entirely beautiful sandy beaches (with sandbanks) while the bay side is full of marshes(=Suempfe).

Long Point is described as an unique 'biosphere reserve' due to its delicate and varied habitats although we did not experience much wild life on our camp site.

A few things to mention:
30% probabilty of rain means 100%. Thus MEGA tarp is a great project. You can actually buy too many eggs (300). Marshmallows 24/7. Ever tried them with grilled with Nutella & ham? One frisbee per person among five to seven players in lake erie can be exhausting but extreme fun! You might have some great bollywood actors & dancers among your campers. Blue is a good friend of ours.
