Brunch at Brassaii
Located in a courtyard just west of Spadina along King St. west, Brassaii crosses elegant new-world bistro with an undeniable factory flair along a somewhat classy diner look. Brassaii’s has these tremendous windows that bring in an enormous amount of day light. The spacious dining area holds no borders to the wide open kitchen area. Feels very lofty. Great food and coffee...

Who or what is Brassaii you might ask? The bistro lounge is named after the famed and (edgy?) 1920s photographer Gustave Brassaii (pseudonym of Gyula Halász), who captured Paris by night.

Brassai used shadows as skillfully as he used light to construct night time pictures. He was amazing in apturing shadows and reflections on film.

Brassai was not only a photgrapher but also a philosopher, reader, writer with a passion for literature. To check more on his bio click here.
